Enology & Viticulture is part of the Community College’s Workforce Program.  These programs, which include other departments such as Nursing, Welding, Diesel Mechanics, Cosmetology, Medical Assistant, and others, focus on aligning workforce outcomes with economic demands within the district, region, and state.  Curriculum is developed to support student success from basic skills through college-level transfer and employment. Workforce Education degree and certificate requirements are established in alignment with recognized industry standards and measured student learning outcomes. Supplemental instructional elements are identified through active use of program level industry Advisory Committees.

The Enology & Viticulture Advisory Committee is made up of local Wine Industry leaders  and pioneers, who give regular input on evolving economics, technical innovation, and areas of greatest growth in need of trained employees.
